Kornet Okucani is a family business founded more than 69 years ago.
1949. - Dragutin Radanovic established the business with the idea to produce quality ice cream cones, as they were missing on the market. He initiated a small artisanal production. At that time, the unforgettable KUGLOF cone was created.
1950s- With the wholehearted support of his brother Alexander, Dragutin introduced modern semi-automatic machines and therewith enabled the production of even better cones under more favorable prices. The first SUPER cones were produced. Among confectioners, our cones have started to be known as "Cones from Okucani" and become a synonym for good quality.
1960s - The first automatic machines for the production of cones and flat wafers were bought and so a new AMERICAN, SLATKI cone was produced. With convincing quality and sufficient production capacity we were able to encourage the largest state-owned manufacturer of ice cream, Ledo company, to start industrial production of ice-cream cone with us as their cone supplier.
1970s - Additional machines were purchased. We were supplying many ice cream shops around the country, and alongside the Ledo company we have become supplier to large by state owned firms like Ljubljanske Mlekarne; Kolinska, FRIKOM ...
In the period between 1991. and 1995., we were not able to carry on with the production due to the war.
1995. - We started production of rolled sugar cones in Zagreb.
1996. - The production in Okucani was restored.
Today, the third generation of our family works in the firm. Our production is still guided with our founders concept that the quality of the cones is the most importaint thing.
